You've Come To The Right Place
President - après MIDI Productions
après MIDI Productions is the razor's edge between art and science, music and computers, production and technology. We produce software for Web audio and bands for Web distribution. Currently we are building the VectorEYESer™ , the platform that will enable the final frontier for 3D audio post-production and interactive video clips.
As sound engineer and producer I have been working with some of the best musicians in the region. For the last few years I have been the FOH mixing engineer and Web producer for Jennifer Weatherly, who tours yearly all across EUROPE. And recently, Willy Wainwright released his debut CD Here and Now on JK Records, engineered, co-produced and produced for the Web by yours truly.

The VectorEYESer™ is a hardware/software combination destined for recording studios. Comprised of a rack-mountable hardware module and a PC software interface, the VectorEYESer™ allows producers, audio engineers, composers and home enthusiasts to produce multi-track music for 3D output and VR.
started playing the trumpet at age
12 while growing up in a musical family. Continuing with the trumpet over a period of 4
years, I received classical training, learned how to read and write music,
and played in the school orchestra. Later, I progressed by taking piano and
then guitar lessons.
After graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Physics, I left the United States to live and work in Europe. I quickly evolved into a software engineer and worked at various research institutes including DESY in Hamburg and CERN in Geneva. In my spare time, I continued to formulate concepts on how to integrate music, physics and computers. I also learned how to speak both French and German.
Upon moving to the Geneva region, I began writing and playing original music with my own bands. My first solo band was Dogs On Stage where I was bass player and primary songwriter, contributing many songs to the groups repertoire. A veteran of many concerts in the region and elsewhere, including playing at the Montreux Jazz Festival OFF in 1994 and the World Expo in Seville in 1992, I was the bass player and background vocalist with Home Cooking and Les Horribles Cernettes.
I also performed in and directed amateur theatre in Geneva. I portrayed the starring role of Kenicke in the Little Theater of Geneva’s 1992 production of GREASE and co-directed their 1994 production of The Little Shop of Horrors.
!n 1996, I left a 6-year job at Digital Equipment Corporation to pursue a career more focused on music, digital audio and computer assisted musical composition. As a freelance consultant, I worked with a small company called EURODAT (later to be called AudioSoft) that is focused on treating all aspects of the music industry with computer technology. Amongst other things I helped develop the first digital audio streaming music player. I also worked as software and hardware consultant World Radio Geneva, an all-digital broadcast radio station.
I produced and helped manager the local Country blues group Home Cooking in addition to producing, mixing and mastering their first CD, A Recipe for Disaster. Also, I was the recording engineer and co-producer for the solo career debut CD for world class fiddle player Willy Wainwright called Here and Now. On top of all that I was the front-of-house mixing engineer for 6 years for Jennifer Weatherly on her European tour. She was Switzerland's #1 Country female vocalist in 1998.
And now the best part of all! In the fall of 2001 I moved to Maui, Hawaii! Finally, after many years of dreaming of paradise I have arrived. I'm currently playing in the bands Island Schmyland and The Feromones and most recently the Pacific version of Home Cooking. I'm singing and performing some of Tony Arnold's best material along with a repertoire of great Americana favorites from Springsteen to Mellancamp passing through R.E.M. and John Hiatt.
My first major recording/producing effort was a success. Called Gypsy Fire, this Gypsy jazz CD by Tom Conway was nominated for a Hoku award. Tommy plays lightning guitar along with Willy Wainwright on violin and Marcus Johnson on bass.
Finally, I've just started a new venture working with the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy developing software as part of the team working on the most comprehensive coronagraph of the sun ever undertaken by humans.
